 erebrus Consultants has carried out a number of assignments in the compensation and performance management areas for a large number of IT companies. In the course of our consulting work, we have come across several common concerns, especially with respect to retention and motivation of staff, as well as interesting issues and practices in specific companies. Several companies have adopted innovative HR practices to remain competitive as employers.
To enable a more comprehensive understanding and benchmarking of HR practices in the IT industry, we carried out a detailed survey within the industry. The focus of this study was not just on compensation, but on a range of HR policies and practices covering recruitment, training, work environment and communication.
The study covered 80 companies all over the country - in cities like Mumbai, Bangalore, Delhi, Pune, Hyderabad and Chennai. The objective of the study was to understand the approach these companies took in key people policies.
